“One shot, one kill” is the new motto of the Army sniper. However, for soldiers qualifying in Basic Rifle Marksmanship, this rule may no longer be applicable. Thus, the Basic Combat Training Soldiers of 2nd Battalion, 39th Infantry Brigade, are testing a new way of qualification. The method is a combinations of battlefield elements - concealment, movement, civilian presence and using multiple rounds on an enemy. The reason behind this new standard is to ensure that soldiers are more combat focused. It will provide them the necessary skills for modern-day battlefield setting.

It has already been five years since the troops are aiding Iraq in restoring its peace and order. Although things have been getting better than before, but it’s still going to be a long way to really build back Iraq as a country. This would also means that war will still be on for years, or at least that’s what many military analysts would put it. Eventually, the U.S. combat role would have to be around for another five years, depending on the insurgency.

The US Military has come up with a special program for those in Afghanistan and Kuwait. Soldiers who intend to continue their education could now choose to learn not just in an online learning environment. However, they could have a real classroom experience with highly qualified local adjunct instructors. Such local teachers are thoroughly evaluated before they have been offered the positions. Thus, higher education requires excellence from faculty.

Online students are still given the same educational assistance just like the students in the classroom. However, online learning students has the disadvantage when their deployed locations don’t have a consistent Internet access.
